A Distinguished Talent Migration Visa is a small category for especially talented people in professional or academic fields, arts or sport. You will need a recognised authority in Australia to back your application, and it can be from an individual or an organisation who is in a position to judge your ability. You must be at the top of your field at an international level: a true star. There is a requirement to this visa that you should have contributed significantly to the international and Australian community, over and above any personal gain or fame. That you are already, or intend to become, an asset to Australia.

This visa is not points tested, and there is no age limitation - but there is a requirement that if the primary applicant is under 18 years of age or over 55, they must show that they are financially independent and likely to be of exceptional benefit to Australia.
